When US ecommerce experts think of cross-border commerce, they typically think of challenges like international shipping and handling customs & duties, which for the most part are solved problems thanks to services like Borderfree. However, just a few hours south of the US in the Caribbean Sea there are over 40 million people that are cut off from the typical ecommerce experience. In this episode, we talk about the challenges these islanders face when attempting to buy or sell online and challenge the ecommerce community to work to build innovative solutions to bring ecommerce to the islands.
